The Welsh Mountain Zoo
  www.welshmountainzoo.org The Welsh Mountain Zoo, Colwyn Bay, was where the first Grabbit book 'Grabbit and Skoot and the Invasion of the Grey Squirrels' was launched in May 2000. The book has sold nearly 2500 copies and was shortlisted for the 2001 Goodchild Prize for Excellent English sponsored by the Queen's English Society.
 
ACE Trains of London

ACE Trains donated a tinplate 0 gauge electric 4-4-2 tank loco to the Zoological Society of Wales at the Welsh Mountain Zoo on the occasion of the launch of 'Grabbit and Skoot and the Invasion of the Grey Squirrels', May 2000. The model subsequently raised over £300 for the ZSW Red Squirrel research project to which royalties from 'Grabbit & Skoot and the Red Squirrels' are devoted.
